Ambulance Service now using Eircode to find people faster in an Emergency

The National Ambulance Service (NSA) are using Eircode to make it quicker and easier to locate addresses in emergency situations. Using Eircode to locate specific addresses can significantly reduce response times by immediately being able to pinpoint locations and this is particularly important in rural and isolated areas.

Throughout Ireland there are approximately 800,000 non unique addresses. By providing an Eircode the National Ambulance Service call centres can immediately and accurately identify your location and this information is rapidly relayed to emergency vehicles which improves response times even further, for anyone who needs assistance in finding their Eircode please use our online finder tool at www.eircode.ie, contact us at hello@eircode.ie or phone us on 0818 300 005 or view our FAQ’s for more information.

To highlight the benefits of Eircode a new public announcement television spot is currently airing on RTE television and radio for the summer months and has immediately stimulated calls to our contact centre.  The campaign will act as a timely reminder for all homeowners to ensure that they know their Eircode.
